Single-Sided Polyimide (Kapton®) Tapes
Single-sided polyimide tapes, also sometimes referred to as Kapton® tapes, come with a polyimide backing laminated with acrylic or silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Tapes that come with silicone PSA are able to take advantage of the temperature resistant backing properties. These tapes act as an excellent electrical insulator and are dimensionally stable at high temperatures. This combination of high temperature resistance and electrical insulation film properties make these tapes a primary choice in electronic applications.
Applications include: Electrical transformer, bobbins, motor, or capacitor insulation, powder coat masking, electrical barrier, printed circuit board masking, wire harness
