Electrical Insulation Films

Electrical Insulation Films

There are a variety of film options—Mylar®, Kapton®, and Teflon™ are commonly specified for their performance characteristics—for applications that require stringent thermal and electrical performance. Mylar is one of the most commonly used films because it provides an excellent balance of electrical properties and enjoys good chemical and thermal performance. Kapton is also widely used due to its excellent temperature resistance and balanced performance over a wide range of temperatures. Teflon films provide excellent electrical and thermal properties, best-in-class chemical and environmental resistance, and a slick inert surface.

Applications include: Barrier films, back sheets, electrical insulation, fiber optic cables, flexible printed circuits, anti-corrosive linings, high frequency microwave circuitry, cable insulation, photovoltaic cell glazing
