Single-Sided UHMW Tapes
Single-sided ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) tapes provide extreme abrasion resistance, low friction, excellent chemical resistance, and non-stick performance (at < 225°F). Often used to protect surfaces from wear and control noise due to friction, these tapes are available in a wide variety of thicknesses and come with either rubber and acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives.
Applications include: Cabinet drawer slides, liners for tanks, bins, and spray booths, chute liners and guild rails
- Abrasion resistant backing protects surfaces from wear
- Backing provides slick surface in applications where lubrication is not ideal.
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Low coefficient of friction slip plane surface can help reduce noise, vibration, and harshness
- More economical than Teflon™ tapes for slick surface applications
