Low Density Polyurethane Foam

Low density reticulated polyurethane foam is one of the most cost effective products for sealing, spacing, filtering and sound dampening. Available with a fine pore structure to very porous filter material which can range from 100 pores per square inch to 10 pores per square inch. These products allow the liquid, vapor, or air through while filtering out dust, debris etc.

Application Ideas: Filters, sound absorber, vibration dampening, door gaskets, wind screen

Moisture Seal: No

Temperature Resistance: Good

Environmental Resistance: Poor

High Density Polyurethane Foam

High Density Polyurethane Foam provide a wide range of deflection forces, excellent resilience, and long term durability. It is a very fine open cell foam with low outgassing, is is non-corrosive, and has excellent vibration resiliency. With excellent shock resistance and cushioning, this foam tolerates extreme weather and cold.

Application Ideas: Protective cases, sealing, vibration isolation, sound damping

Moisture Seal: Somewhat

Temperature Resistance: Good

Environmental Resistance: Good

Silicone Foam

Silicone foam remains flexible and resilient when exposed to high temperatures and evironmental extremes. Of all foams, silicone foam provide the best temperature resistance and environmental resistance. Lower density foams have an open cell structure, but can seal against liquid with compression, and higher density foams are closed cell. While typically the most costly, this foam can handle the most extreme application requirements.

Application Ideas: Outdoor enclosure gaskets, high temperature material separator, Electric vehicle battery sealing, instrumentation vibration damping.

Moisture Seal: Yes, with compression

Temperature Resistance: Excellent

Environmental Resistance: Excellent
