Formex
Formex is flame retardant electrical insulation material that provides excellent electric surge shielding and acts as a thermal and electrical barrier. It is widely used to protect equipment and its users by preventing electrical components from arcing. The Formex GK is the market proven formulation of flame retardant polypropylene insulation material, the Formex GL provides an even higher electrical temperature rating at thinner gauges, and the Formex GS, formerly Formex Statex, is known for its additional static dissipative ESD protection.
Applications include: Electrical insulation for electric vehicle onboard charger, barriers for PC boards, air baffles and wire management for data center control rooms
- Ultra low moisture absorption <0.6%
- UL 94V-0 flame class rating
- UL 746C F1 rating
- Excellent dielectric strength shields against electrical surges
- Good chemical resistance
- Superior folding, bending, and scoring capabilities without cracking
